The future of startups in the Mekong region

From April 26, 2023 to April 27, 2023, the dialogue program ‘The Future of Startups in the Mekong Region’ was organized by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in collaboration with the University of Queensland. in Bangkok, Thailand. This seminar aims to present solutions and opportunities to develop startups in the Mekong region, including countries such as Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Participating in the seminar were representatives of startups, managers, experts and representatives of countries in the Mekong region. EGreen’s representative, Deputy Director Nguyen Duc Khanh, participated in the workshop and shared about the business model of using biogas. Using Biogas for cooking, generating electricity or using it as fuel for drying agricultural products and heating livestock and poultry is the optimal solution to use biogas. In this way, households and farms can save costs and contribute to environmental protection.

During the seminar, experts from countries in the region shared knowledge, challenges and ideas to support the development of stronger businesses in the future including: provide training, support, improve infrastructure and promote technological innovation. They propose solutions to help businesses promote and improve the startup ecosystem, strengthen their competitiveness, especially in attracting investment capital from foreign investors.

The seminar ended successfully and brought a lot of value to businesses. EGreen hopes that the biogas electricity business model and solutions for using Biogas will be widely developed and contribute to reducing pollution and creating many business opportunities for start-ups in the area.
